Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and password, which is stored as a hash.
• Profile and creator information: the profile details, biography, author application, stories, manuscripts, images, captions, and other content you choose to submit.
• Reading activity: saved reading positions, completed chapters, and like or love reactions associated with your account.
• Technical information: session information and, depending on hosting and logging settings, IP addresses, browser information, and requests needed to operate and secure the website.

2. How we use information

We use this information to create and manage accounts, sign you in, save your reading progress, display reactions, review author applications, publish content you choose to make public, and protect and maintain the service. We may also use information to respond to requests, address abuse, and meet legal obligations.

3. What other people can see

Published stories and chapters, author names, and author biographies are visible to readers. Reaction totals are displayed on stories. A story’s author can see the names, reaction types, and dates of readers who react to that story. Administrators can access information needed to manage accounts and author applications. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in content you publish.

Unpublished content is restricted by the site’s access controls. Saving a draft does not publish it.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies for sessions, sign-in, security, and the optional “remember me” feature. Your browser also stores reader preferences and reading progress locally, including for guests and signed-in readers. You can remove this data or block cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may reset your preferences or prevent account features from working. Clearing browser data does not delete reading progress already saved to an account.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

Hosting and storage providers process information as needed to run the website. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google technical information such as your IP address when requesting those fonts. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its practices.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, security, and safety of the service and its users. If the service changes ownership, information may transfer with it, subject to applicable law. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.

6. Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes. Retention can vary by the type of information; backups and logs may remain after information is removed from the active website.

We use measures such as password hashing and access controls to protect information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

7. Your choices and requests

You can browse public stories without creating an account, manage available profile details in the creator studio, and clear local reading data through your browser. Authors can edit or delete their stories through the studio. The site does not currently offer a self-service account deletion button.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other controls over personal information. Requests may require identity verification and may be subject to legal exceptions.

8. Children’s privacy

Accounts are intended for people aged 13 or older, or the higher minimum age required where they live. Please do not submit personal information if you do not meet that requirement. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this policy, notify the site administrator so it can be reviewed and addressed.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional notice or seek consent when required by applicable law.
